Schiefling am Wörthersee makes an active effort to preserve its natural treasures and to remain a thriving community. As a member of Klimabündnis Kärnten, the Carinthian Climate Confederation, it has been participating in the e5 state programme for energy-efficient municipalities since 2007 and has received several awards.
As a member of the Carnica Region Rosental, it has completed two LEADER projects: the revitalisation of Furtaschhube as a multifunctional meeting centre in Farrendorf and the ecological sanitary solution for popular natural destinations at Kathreinkogel.
